UK employment rate joint-highest on record

More positive economic news on employment today as hardline Remainers continue with doomsday forecasts when it comes to a proper Brexit.

The Office for National Statistics have today revealed that for the three months to February, the UK saw the joint-highest employment rate on record (76.1%), up from 75.4% the year before.

Meanwhile unemployment rate was down at 3.9%, the lowest since 1975. Unemployment fell by 27,000 in the three months to February whilst the the economic inactivity rate was 20.7%, the joint-lowest figure on record.

Average weekly earnings were up by 3.4% or 1.5% after inflation, excluding bonuses.

How many ‘experts’ predicted this in 2016?

They seemed more interested in arguing that a Leave vote would lead to recession. Time to take back control as an independent country free to negotiate global trade deals.
